Project Humanity is a not-for-profit focused on social housing policy and harm reduction housing design.
Current work includes participation in the Homes NSW Tenant Action Group, and development of the ‘Living Spaces’ community hub concept — a framework for community-based housing support. An eight-cohort Harm Reduction Housing Design Framework is in development, addressing distinct housing needs across cohorts including veterans.
Project Humanity incorporates AI ethics education work, with teaching modules developed for primary and secondary students exploring trust, verification, and critical engagement with AI systems.
As part of independent research into international models of housing support, a structured framework for community-based harm reduction housing was developed — synthesising research, design frameworks, and stakeholder engagement into the eight-cohort model now guiding Project Humanity’s design work.
A poetry translation tool that carries meaning and form across languages, rather than performing literal word-for-word conversion. It was built to serve two overlapping needs: helping refugee and migrant communities access and share poetry in their first language, and supporting language learners engaging with poetry as part of their studies. It is designed to be useful to anyone navigating a language barrier to reach the poems that matter to them.
KITen is an independent program associated with Project Humanity and Co-Synthesist, not owned or operated by either. It remains an active exploratory strand; further detail is not yet published.
